Adoption Process

Currently all adoptions are done by appointment. While we would love to be able to open our doors fully, we unfortunately do not have the proper staffing to accommodate. 

  • Browse the available pets for adoption. 

  • Submit an application for the pet you like (you can put more than one pets name on the application). 

  • A Runaways representative will contact you within 48 hours (we appreciate your patience as we work as quickly as possible) to schedule a time/day to meet the pet(s). 

  • Once you decide after meeting the pet we can complete the adoption paperwork that day!

Why The Fee?

All of our animals are spayed and neutered, microchipped, dewormed, age-appropriately vaccinated, and treated with flea, tick, and heartworm preventative. All dogs are heartworm tested (if old enough) and all cats are tested for FIV & FELV.   

Since we take in so many medical cases, giving every animal a chance, some of the fees overlap and help support other animals in our care. If you have any questions please let us know!
