Help From Home

Foster an animal in your home!

We provide the essentials to care for them - food, medical care, and more.
You provide the housing and love.
They stay anywhere from a couple weeks to several months. (A brief moment in time for you but the most meaningful impact for them!)

Help In The Shelter/Events

Spend time at the facility/community!

Spend a few hours with us helping animals in our building.
Clean their living areas, give them enrichment, walk dogs, and more!
Shifts available 7 days a week to fit anyone's schedule.
Bring your skills and talents to help The Runaways thrive and help more animals!

Hear From Our Volunteers!

I started volunteering at The Runaways Animal Rescue because I love animals and I wanted to do something positive and give back. I started once a week helping with dog care, because I’ve had dogs all my life and I am comfortable with dogs, and it has grown into a passion for me. I love playing with the dogs and walking them, but I also enjoy cleaning their kennels and making their rooms comfy and clean. I can’t express the joy I feel when I see one of these sweet souls being adopted!
